Y. S Jagan calls for a statewide bandh to protest the denial of Special Category Status to AP
The collusion between the BJP in the Centre and the TDP in the state of AP has been laid bare!
Hyderabad: Protesting the BJP-TDP alliance that colluded to deny the Special Category Status to Andhra Pradesh, the YSR Congress Party has called for a state wide bandh on August 2.
With the Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley categorically stating in the Rajya Sabha on Friday that there is no scope of extending the Special Category Status to Andhra Pradesh, the collusion between the BJP in the Centre and the TDP in the state of AP has been laid bare.
In spite of all the parties demand for the special status to AP, the TDP’s prolonged silence on the issue and its continuing alliance with the BJP even after the Government retracting its promises, is proof that the TDP not only had foreknowledge about the Centre’s decision but was also complicit to it and only feigned a misleading interest on the issue.
The future of five crore people of Andhra Pradesh continues to be at stake as a result of this betrayal.
The YSR Congress Party remains the sole peoples’ representative that has been relentlessly fighting for the promised Special Category Status to Andhra Pradesh.
To mark its protest on this deceitful occasion, the President of the YSR Congress Party Y.S Jagan Mohan Reddy has given a call for a statewide Bandh on Tuesday, August 2.
Y.S Jagan has requested everyone who supports the grant of Special Category Status to AP, to register their protest by participating in the Bandh.
The AP CM Chandrababu Naidu’s admission that the Special Status is not a ‘Sanjeevini’ has not helped the case for according the special status to AP, said Jagan and added that the AP CM has been playing with the lives of five crore people.
He called for the people of Andhra Pradesh to see through the deceptions and lies of the TDP that was in collusion with the BJP, and called upon the people to teach these parties a lesson.
