First Look: Harry-Markle Royal Baby
London: Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s royal baby boy arrived on Monday. The royal couple revealed their newborn son to the public on Wednesday.
Posing with their son for cameras at Windsor Castle, the couple, known as the Duke and Duchess of Sussex then introduced the baby to his grandparents, Queen Elizabeth II, and Prince Philip. Prince Harry was seen cradling the baby, wrapped in a white blanket and wearing a matching cap, in his arms.
The two-day-old baby is seventh in line to the British throne and is the eighth great-grandchild of 93-year-old Elizabeth, Britain's longest reigning monarch.
The couple, later made an official announcement on Wednesday via their Instagram account revealing the name of their first child, ending all the speculation surrounding the name. The couple has named their son - Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor.
The Instagram post was shared with a black and white photo showing Queen Elizabeth II meeting her new grandson.
Earlier in the week, in an Instagram post, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's account shared, "Their Royal Highnesses’ son weighs 7lbs. 3oz. The Duchess and baby are both healthy and well, and the couple thank members of the public for their shared excitement and support during this very special time in their lives."
