Women Pilots Escape With Injuries After Training Aircraft Crashes 

Hyderabad: A woman pilot was injured after an Air Force training aircraft crashed at Duddeda in Siddipet district, about 100km from here, on Friday.

The aircraft which took off from the Hakimpet Air Force Training Academy developed a technical glitch within minutes. As the pilot and co-pilot were trying to crash land the aircraft, pilot Reshmi fell down sustaining injuries on her leg. Both the crew members were rushed to Siddipet government hospital and later shifted to a private hospital in the city.

The condition of the pilot and co-pilot is stated to be stable. The aircraft was reduced to ashes after the crash.

It may be recalled here that a training aircraft of the same college crashed near Keesara on the city outskirts last month. None was injured in the incident though.
