Women obstruct Chandrababu's speech

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu faced embarrassing moments when some women obstructed his speech at Kodikonda in Anantapur district on Thursday.

The chief minister was in Kodikonda to lay a stone for the Ragamayuri Electronic Park. As he was speaking, scores of women got up and shouted slogans. They were demanding that they be reinstated by the Rawat Masala Company in Hindupur. They said the management of the company has laid off 130 employees without any notice. They demanded action against the management. Some men also raised slogans.

The TDP activists pounced on the protesters, including the women, and thrashed them. Among the injured is CITU leader Venkatanarayana.
