Women achievers to be felicitated on March 8

Hyderabad: The Telangana government would be felicitating women achievers with a cash prize of Rs. One lakh and a memento at Lalitha Kala Thoranam on March 8 on the occasion of International Women's day.
On Thursday, Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao announced the selection committee, headed by Tummala Nageswar Rao, Minister for Women and Child Welfare, to list out the awardees who have excelled in their field of work.
A total of Nine categories have been chosen to honour the women. The categories include sports, industry, journalism, Self- help groups, agriculture, social service, art, medicine and law
