Woman throws acid on another woman

In a bizarre case, a woman threw acid on another after a minor scuffle in Akkayyapalem of Visakhapatnam district on Wednesday.

According to reports, the woman escaped with minor injuries and was rushed to a nearby hospital. Swapna, who is estranged with husband and is living separately, threw acid at Rajitha, working at a ice cream parlour. Swapna went to the office as a customer before carrying out the attack.

The victim is going to marry Satyanarayan Reddy soon. Reports say that Swapna was in a relationship with Satyanarayana and was unhappy with his marriage with Rajitha.

Rajitha who realised that she was being targeted, ducked at the nick of the moment and escaped serious burns. However, some of the liquid spilled over her arms and neck. Police registered a case and arrested Swapna.
