Woman Strangled To Death By Husband

New Delhi: A 22-year-old woman was strangled to death by her husband on Saturday in Delhi.

The victim Komal was married to Manoj Kumar in July, 2015. Six months into the marriage, the couple used to have frequent fights over petty issues. Upset over the constant fights, she left her in-laws house and was staying at her parents’ house in Raghubir Nagar. Manoj would visit her often and tried to convince her to stay with his family in Ghevra area of Kanjhawala where he runs a general store.

On her husband's request, Komal returned to her in-laws house but she again left after fighting with Manoj. On Saturday, Manoj went to his in-laws house to meet Komal. He asked her to come with him saying he had planned a surprise for her. He took her to Bonta Park where he asked her to close her eyes and strangled her with a wire. After killing her, he left the park and informed the matter to his friend who stays near his house.

However, his friend informed police about the incident. The police arrested him and took him to the park to trace his wife. After six hours of search in the dark, the police found the body and sent it for post-mortem.
