Woman SP attacked, robbed in moving train - Sakshi Post

Hyderabad: An SP-rank woman officer was allegedly attacked and robbed by an unidentified assailant, while she was travelling in a train from Secunderabad to Gudur in Nellore district here, police said on Saturday.

S M Ratna, working in Telangana State Police Academy, suffered injuries on her face after one person attacked her before fleeing with her gold jewellery and other valuables while she was travelling in Simhapuri Express, Nellore Superintendent of Police (SP) Gajarao Bhupal stated.

The incident occurred between Nellore and Gudur, in the bogie she was travelling in, he said, adding she was admitted to a hospital in Nellore. A case has been registered by the Government Railway Police (GRP), police said, adding further investigation is on.
