Woman slips under running train, rises up unhurt - Sakshi Post

Kolkata: In a miraculous escape, a middle aged woman came out unhurt after a train passed over her at a railway station in Purulia, West Bengal, on Monday.

The woman was trying to cross the railway track and suddenly realized that a train was coming towards her on the same track. She immediately lied down on her stomach on the railway track. After the train passed, onlookers who came to her rescue were surprised to see that she was almost unhurt with a small injury to her nose caused by a stone which hit her due to the speeding train’s momentum.

“She wanted to catch a train to Jamshedpur and while crossing the railway tracks, she slightly slipped and noticed that a goods train was coming from the other side. So she immediately lay down on the track. When we rescued her, we found that she was unharmed,” a witness said.

“She is all right and has already left for Jamshedpur by train,” Purulia station manager Amitabh Majumder said.
