Woman set on fire over dispute

Chandrakala was set ablaze after a heated verbal dispute with a man.
Secunderabad: A verbal dispute resulted in killing of a woman on Monday morning in Secunderabad. Mallesh and Chandrakala, residents of a basti under Tukaramgate Police Station limits, got into a verbal war and exchanged heated words. Furious over this, Mallesh doused Chandrakala with petrol and set her on fire.
Nearby people immediately responded to crying and screaming of Chandrakala and tried to rescue her by extinguishing fire.
Chandrakala was immediately rushed to Gandhi Hospital. However, most of the body was already burnt. Police got into action after locals filed a complaint against Mallesh. Police have arrested Mallesh.
Doctors, who’re treating Chandrakala at Gandhi Hospital, said her condition was serious.
