Woman injected HIV blood for carrying female foetus

In a heinous act, a pregnant woman was allegedly given HIV blood forcibly by her in-laws knowing that she was carrying a female child.

The incident occurred at Cherukupalli mandal in Guntur district. A rural medical practitioner (RMP) reportedly helped the in-laws administer the blood.  The woman lodged a complaint with the Vedullapalli police against the in-laws,  RMP  Nagireddy and also against her husband who supported the act.  Cases have been booked against the accused and investigation is on.
