Woman Finds Charcoal In Tirupati Laddu

Nellore: A woman, Devabhaktuni Yamini, who took darshan of Lord Venkateswara in Tirumala on Friday found coal pieces in the famous Tirupati laddu.

The woman hails from Lakshmipuram village of Challapalli mandal in Krishna District. The woman took the matter to the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) staff. However, the official concerned allegedly asked her whether she was Christian, as she demanded a receipt of her written complaint.

The incident comes after reports came in that TTD applied for a central license to run its kitchen, after orders from the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI), in order to get one.
