Woman Falls To Death From 14th Floor Trying To Rescue Trapped Baby

Technology, which provides security to flat dwellers, became the villain for a 23-year-old woman in Kerala's Kakkanad.

She tried to rescue her two-year-old son from falling off from the 14th floor of a building. Save she did, but she fell down to death.

This incident occurred in Kerala's Kakkanad. The woman, identified as Megha, lived on the 14th floor of a building. She went out to dispose of garbage leaving her two-year-old baby inside. However, due to winds, the front door got closed and the baby was trapped inside the room. Megha had failed to open the automatic door with the biometric system.

When the door did not open, she tried to reach the balcony to rescue her son who was locked inside the flat by taking a narrow stairs. However, she lost balance and fell down. Eyewitnesses, who saw her falling down, rushed her to a hospital but she succumbed en route.

The child was later rescued by the fire and rescue services personnel. Her husband was away at work when the incident occurred.
