Woman, Daughter Dead As Motorbike Plunges Into Well

Visakhapatnam: In a freak accident, a woman and her daughter were killed when the motorcycle ridden by her husband plunged into a roadside well near Pedagogada in the district on Monday morning.

The husband survived. The deceased were identified as Kakara Ramalakshmi (26) and her daughter Kakara Devi (6). Ramalakshmi's husband Kakara Nooka Raju was rescued by villagers. Raju, his wife and daughter were returning to Chinagogada after visiting his in-laws at Arjunagiri when he lost control of the motorcycle due to high speed. It went off the road and plunged into a farm well.

Locals who were present at the spot rescued him, but his wife and daughter drowned in water, said police sub-inspector M Sirish Kumar.
