Woman Commits Suicide As Husband Refuses To Cut Cake On His Birthday

Hyderabad: In a shocking incident, a 30-year-old woman committed suicide by hanging herself to a ceiling fan in her flat on Saturday at Krishna Nagar after her husband refused to cut the cake on his birthday.

Sneha Lakshmi who was working as financial analyst in Capital IQ in Kondapur was living with her husband Srinivas Rao at Sri Krishna Nagar. As it was her husband's birthday, she insisted on cutting the cake on Saturday. But Srinivas refused to cut the cake and went out from the house saying that he does not want to celebrate the birthday.

Srinivas, who returned home around 2.30am found his wife hanging to the ceiling fan. He then with the help of his sister-in-law Naga Lakshmi shifted her to a hospital where she was declared brought dead.

Based on a complaint by Naga Lakshmi, the police registered a case. No one has been arrested yet.
