Woman cheated by SMS, loses Rs 7 lakhs
A woman was reportedly cheated by a cell phone message that she got a hero lottery.
The woman Ambati Ambika Nagaveni, a resident of Tadepalligudem in West Godavari district received a message to her mobile stating that she won a lottery from abroad. She sent Rs 7 lakh as directed in the message. Realising that she was duped by a foreign company, she lodged a complaint with the police.
