Hyderabad: A doctor has lodged a police complaint against a private hospital for allegedly administering anesthesia on his wife which made her become unconscious.

The Couple Sai Jyothi (36) and Dr Suman Kalyan, who got married in 2007, do not have any children. Meanwhile the couple approached Sprujana Fertility Center in Nagole on September 12 evening. Doctors Soujanya, Rani, Sri Shailesh and Vithal assured of pregnancy after minor operation.
Sai Jyothi was administered anesthesia, but later she was found to be unconscious and shifted to nearby Omni Hospital, which refused to admit the patient. Following which, she was rushed to Kamineni Hospital at LB Nagar on September 13.

However, there was no improvement in Sai Jyothi’s health and she has been suffering from epileptic seizures (fits) and has been on ventilator since then.
Even after two weeks of treatment, there’s no improvement in her condition, said Dr Suman Kalyan, who later lodged a complaint against the hospital and doctors in Chaitanyapuri police station.

“Because of the ignorance of doctors Swapna, Srikanth, my wife is on ventilator and battling for life. We went to the hospital for fertility treatment, but now my wife is unconscious. I want the police to take action against those doctors who will in turn be a lesson for others,” Dr Suman Kalyan told.
