Will this CM ban astrology-based TV shows?

If Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has his way, he would ban the astrology-based shows on TV channels.

"Every TV channel is trying to air astrology-based shows in the state. There appear to be a lot clientele for them. In my home too, the scene is no different. It's time we banned such shows." he told in at a function recently.
Interestingly, Siddaramaiah, who calls himself agnostic, has been visiting temples and consulting astrologers after he became Chief Minister. Sources say his wife is a firm believer in astrology.
If Siddaramaiah translates his words into action, then over a dozen Kannada TV channels would be robbed off their chief source of revenue. The astrology shows are hugely popular in Karnataka and there have been demands from some quarters to ban them as they were spreading superstition.
Meanwhile, a fierce debate began in Karnataka over the pros and cons of the possible ban on astrology shows. Karnataka government has already prepared a bill to ban superstitions, but it faced problems after the Opposition demanded that it should include Christian and Muslim superstitions too.
