Will Quit Politics If TRS Loses In 2019: KTR
Hyderabad: Telangana IT and Industries minister K Taraka Rama Rao has exuded confidence that TRS would get back into power in 2019 elections.
Addressing a public meeting at Gadwal town in Jogulamba Gadwal district yesterday, KTR slammed Congress TPCC president N Uttam Kumar Reddy. "I threw a challenge to Uttam that I would resign as minister if the TRS is defeated in the GHMC elections. But the party won the civic polls with flying colours and Uttam had no answer when I demanded him to resign to his post as the Congress state chief. Now I challenge him: If TRS loses Assembly elections in 2019, I will take political sanyas, will he do the same if Congress loses?"
Taking a dig and at the Congress for the lack of development in the Gadwal constituency, KTR accused all the political bigwigs from the region — Congress leader Revanth Reddy, Jaipal Reddy and several others for playing "cheap politics" during Telangana statehood struggle.
