Will revive past glory of Tirumala : Chandrababu
Andhra Pradesh chief minister designate N.Chandrababu Naidu said that he would try to revive the past glory of Tirumala temple.
He spoke to reporters after visiting Lord Venkateswara Temple in Tirumala on Thursday morning.
He observed the queue lines in Tirumala and asked the pilgrims there about the problems they were facing in Tirumala.
He also promised that he would take special interest in solving the problems in Tirumala.
“I will try to convert Chittoor district into a temple tourism centre,” said Chandrababu.
“I did not see Vaikuntam. I heard about it in stories only. I will make Tirumula look like Vaikuntam from now," said the TDP president.
He said that he would root out smuggling of red sandalwood from Seshachalam forests. “I would take steps to ensure that the area is free from smuggling of the same. Smugglers can’t be spared,” said Chandrababu.
