'Will respect people's verdict'

“People’s verdict has to be respected in democracy,” said senior BJP leader and former union minister Daggubati Purandeswari.

Speaking to reporters in Tirupati on Thursday, she said that she would abide by the decision of BJP high command on her future.

However, she thanked the leaders of BJP and TDP in Rajampet, who worked hard for her victory in the recent elections.

Purandeswari recently unsuccessfully contested from Rajampet parliamentary constituency in YSR Kadapa district in the recent Lok Sabha elections. She was defeated in the hands of YSRCP candidate Mithun Reddy in the elections.
