Will resign if bifurcation takes place: Ganta Srinivas Rao

Guntur, Minister for Infrastructure Ganta Srinivas Rao on Tuesday came down heavily on the Centre and its stubborn stand on Andhra Pradesh bifurcation. "I will not hesitate to tender my resignation if bifurcation does take place.

CM Kiran Kumar Reddy had said he will resign under similar circumstances.  If it happens, I will not hesitate to quit immediately after he does," a defiant Ganta said.

 Calling the centre biased, Ganta, speaking to reporters in Mangalagiri mandal of Guntur district, said, "Government is not obeying the technicalities involved in state bifurcation. Seemandhra MPs rightly opposed the division by stalling the Parliament. They will continue their protest in the future as well."
