Will Jai Simha Eat Into Agnathavasi Revenues?

Balakrishna, Pawan Kalyan - Sakshi Post

Power star Pawan Kalyan's Agnathavasi and Balakrishna's Jai Simha will have an epic clash at the box office this Sankranthi. While Agnathavasi will release on January 10, 2018, Jai Simha will release on January 12.

Pawan Kalyan's movie will release two days before Balakrishna's Jai Simha and it could actually benefit the former. But, herein lies the catch. The moment Jai Simha releases, Agnathavasi will lose substantial number of theatres.

This might cause huge losses to Agnathavasi. In several places where only single theatre is available, Jai Simha producers have already pre-booked theatres. Thus, once the film gets released, Agnathavasi has to be taken off.

Pawan Kalyan and Trivikram Srinivas have pinned hopes on this movie as some of Pawan's recent films didn't do all that well. We hear that Agnathavasi is inspired by Venkatesh's vintage super hit Ontari Poratam.

Both Agnathavasi and Jai Simha are big budget films each being made with a budget of over Rs 100 crore each.
