Will Fight Until AP Gets SCS: YSRCP

New Delhi: YSR Congress Party MPs said here today that it was only YSRCP that was relentlessly fighting for the Special Category Status (SCS) to Andhra Pradesh. Speaking to the media person after the Parliament was adjourned once again today, they mentioned that it was their party President YS Jagan Mohan Reddy who was instrumental in sustaining the fight for SCS to AP over the last four years. The YSRCP MPs asserted that they will protest in Parliament till the end of the session and until they achieve SCS to the state.

Talking to the media, YSRCP MP Mekapati Rajamohan Reddy, said that it was a pleasant surprise that the Lok Sabha Speaker has adjourned the House till Monday, while everyone were of the opinion that the House would be prorogued. He express his belief that on Monday there would a discussion on no-confidence motion. "Many parties have come forward to support the no-confidence motion. If at all the Parliament is prorogued YSRCP MPs will immediately submit their resignations," he informed.

The party senior leader and MP YV Subba Reddy said that they would submit the notice for the ninth time in the Parliament on Monday. "We have requested the protesting AIADMK MPs to please cooperate and stop their protest. We have told that SCS was panacea for AP. They have responded positively. Moreover there is an important decision on Cauvery River Board that is likely to be pronounced by Supreme Court on March 29, so we expect that on Monday discussion over the no-confidence motion will definitely happen," he observed.

MP Vara Prasad said that YSRCP was the first party to submit a notice on no-confidence in the Parliament, the National parties were following them. He pointed out that their party was deciding the agenda of Parliament. YSRCP MPs will protest and fight till the end of the session and would resign if the House is prorogued in between, he added.
