Will Fight For Special Category Status: YSRCP MP YV Subba Reddy
Senior YSRCP leader and Ongole MP YV Subba Reddy said the development of Andhra Pradesh was possible only when the state achieves special category status. Talking to mediapersons at Ongole on Tuesday, he said that a private member’s bill on the special category status is likely to come up for debate in the forthcoming session of parliament.
YV Subba Reddy said that his party would continue to wage a relentless battle for special category status. He slammed Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu for claiming that special category status was a closed chapter. "If the special status is a closed chapter, then why did Chandrababu Naidu and Narendra Modi give an assurance on it during the time of elections," he asked.
On Praja Sankalpa Yatra, he said the ruling TDP was getting jittery at the massive response to YS Jagan's yatra. He said an unnerved Government is trying to prevent people from meeting YS Jagan during the yatra.
