Will decide future course of action tomorrow: Ponnala
Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee chief Ponnala Laxmaiah on Sunday said his party is taking all measures to strrenghten its base in Hyderabad city.
Speaking to reporters, Ponnala said that the Congress party will hold a meeting at Jalavihar tomorrow to finalise the future course of action. "We will chalk out a future course of action and take a final decision on alliance with MIM after discussions with our party senior leaders and supporters in tomorrow's meeting," he added.
It may be recalled here that delivering a major political shock to the Kiran Kumar Reddy's government in 2012, its staunch and long-term ally, the MIM (Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen) withdrew support to the Congress.
MIM President Asaduddin Owaisi withdrew support to the Congress government accusing Kiran Kumar Reddy and his government for the expansion of the Bhagyalakshmi Temple abutting Charminar in violation of the AP High Court orders.
