Will Bharat Ane Nenu Collection Beat Srimanthudu

Mahesh Babu - Sakshi Post

Superstar Mahesh Babu and Director Koratala Siva's upcoming flick Bharat Ane Nenu is one of the most awaited films of the year. Do you remember this duo’s last film Srimanthudu which holds the distinction of being the highest grossing Telugu film in the USA after the Baahubali franchise? We know you remembered it because it was about village adoption and Koratala sent out a social message in the film.

Now, the Mahesh-Koratala has collaborated again to recreate the magic with Bharat Ane Nenu. The teaser and poster have already piqued the interest of the cine buffs. But do you know this? Mahesh Babu's Bharat Ane Nenu teaser got 11 million views when compared to other Telugu movies lined up for summer release likeRangasthalam, Naa Peru Surya and Kaala.

Filmanagar circles are abuzz with speculation on Bharat Ane Nenu’s collections. Trade analysts are betting big on whether this film will be able to beat Srimanthudu collections. Mahesh's Srimanthudu made lifetime collections of Rs 144.45 Cr. Trade pundits predict that Bharat Ane Nenu will fetch more number than Srimanthudu and it will create a new record at the Tollywood box office. Sources inform us that Mahesh Babu is very confident about the film and the story will leave the audiences wanting more at the end of climax. Bharat Ane Nenu is a social film again with a message. If reports are to be believed, Koratala Siva is wanting to convey some important message to Prime Minister Narendra Modi through his movie. It could be about Special Category Status to Andhra Pradesh or the present day education system in India.

The film is currently in the last leg of its shoot. The film is yet to go to the censor board. Given that the film is a political thriller it remains to be seen which certificate the censor officials will grant to the movie—U or U/A. Like in Tamil actor Vijay’s Mersal, if the film is too critical of the government or its policies, the makers may be asked to edit out controversial scenes or dialogues that could spell doom for the government. It’s worth mentioning that Vijay's Mersal aka Adirindhi in Telugu took a dig at the Modi initiatives including Digital India, Demonetisation and GST.

Mahesh's last film Spyder failed miserably at the box office. Not only audiences even Mahesh had pinned hopes on this film because all his previous films had become duds at the box office. Kiara Advani will be seen playing Mahesh’s love interest in the film. Other supporting cast includes R. Sarath Kumar, Prakash Raj, Devaraj and Posani Krishna Murali. Bharat Ane Nenu is slated for release on April 20.
