Wife Kills Husband To Claim Insurance Amount
Kurnool: A woman killed her husband in greed for claiming the insurance amount worth Rs 2 crores, by portraying his death as an accident. The incident which happened on January 25 near here came to light only today.
According to the police, Srinivasulu of Cholaveedu was married to Ramadevi, from the same village in Prakasam district. Along with her brother Ramesh they were doing oil business in Hyderabad. It is said that Ramadevi had an extra-marital affair with their village sarpanch Madhusudan Reddy.
Ramadevi was not interested to continue her relationship with her husband. At the same time Ramesh and his wife Sivapranita were greedy for money. All three with the help of Madhusudan Reddy hatched a plan to kill Srinivasulu. In the process, they first made him take different insurance policies. In fact, Ramesh had taken numerous loans on these policies also. With all the policies in hand, they planned to kill him and portray it as an accident.
As part of the plan, Ramesh took Srinivasulu on a pilgrimage. They were accompanied by Ramana and Moin Basha, who are workers in their oil business. On January 25, they stopped the vehicle in which they were travelling on a highway at a place called Orvakallu in pretext of talking. They all got down and were talking, on noticing a lorry coming they pushed Srinivasulu under it who sustained injuried and died on the spot. Later they reported that it was a hit and run case.
But Srinivasulu's relatives suspected foul play and complained to the police. After thorough interrogation of Ramana and Moin Basha, the plot was revealed. The police have taken these two into custody while Ramadevi, Ramesh, Sivapranati and Madhusuan Reddy are absconding. The police are investigating the case.
