Why Shankaranna is happy?

Former minister P. Shankar Rao, who is a known critic of DGP Dinesh Reddy, is a happy man now.

Don't be surprised! Neither he received any good news from the Congress High Command nor the cases against him were withdrawn. But the reason behind his happiness is that DGP Diensh Reddy is to retire today. Shankar Rao was intermittently demanding to dismiss ‘biased’ Dinesh Reddy and also the Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy for his ‘vindictive’ politics against him.

Meanwhile, B Prasad Rao is given additional charge as Director General of Police for Andhra Pradesh. Prasda Rao, director general of ACB at present, was also the Police Commissioner at Hyderabad and Visakhapatnam.

It may recalled that the High Court on Sunday rejected the petition filed by Dinesh Reddy seeking extension of his term for one more year, paving the way for his retirement on Monday.
