Why Is Chandrababu Silent On YS Jagan’s Challenge?

Tammineni Seetaram - Sakshi Post

The YSRCP on Thursday sought to know why the ruling Telugu Desam Party was not reacting to the challenge thrown by Leader of the Opposition and party chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on Paradise Papers. YSRCP official spokesperson Tammineni Seetaram said chief minister Chandrababu should accept the challenge thrown by YS Jagan or resign from the chief minister's post.

Chandrababu Naidu had said that YS Jagan Mohan Reddy's name figured in the list of people mentioned in the Paradise Papers as holders of offshore bank accounts. YS Jagan on Wednesday dared Chandrababu to prove the allegations within 15 days, failing which he should resign as AP chief minister. YS Jagan said he would quit active politics if the allegations were proved.

Addressing a media conference, Seetaram said the TDP was unable to digest the stupendous response the Praja Sankalpa Yatra is eliciting from among the people. Hence, they were leveling false accusations. "The responsibility lies on Chandrababu to prove the allegations he made. This allegation has proved once again that Chandrababu is the past master in the art of peddling lies," Tammineni Seetaram said.

He accused Chandrababu Naidu of shamelessly encouraging defections from the YSRCP. It is shameful that some turncoat MLAs have been made ministers in Andhra Pradesh Government, he said.
