Why Anushka Shetty Doesn’t Dub Her Own Voice For Movies

Anushka Shetty - Sakshi Post

Hyderabad: Tollywood sensation Anushka Shetty holds a top position in the industry. And one must say that she got on to the higher rungs of Tollywood in real quick time. But celebrity status always comes with a price, as we know.

The media always trains its spotlights on the likes of Anushka. A big question doing the rounds has been--why doesn't Anushka use her own voice for dubbing? It is evident to all that it isn't her natural voice. Rakul Preet Singh, Raashi Khanna, and even the latest entrant Rashmika Mandanna dub their dialogues in their voice, while Anushka, aka, Sweety has been reluctant to do so, but no one could quite figure out why! Was it because she wasn't proficient enough in Telugu? Was she lacking in confidence? Was she afraid that her pronunciation would give her away? Did she have faulty intonation or issues of consistency of frequency?

Now it appears, Anushka has clarified on this. Apparently, she has a child's voice, and dubbing would make her sound very different. The famous Arundhati dialogue and even the latest film Bhaagamathie dialogue was dubbed by others, and now it is clear why. "I practiced Arundhati dialgoue "Nuvvu nannu em cheylevu ra" at home many times but it never came loud as in the movie." Imagine listening to a child's voice delivering that line! She added that she is fluent in Telugu but can never mouth her own dialogues in a film for this reason.

This clarification should now set all speculation at rest, when it comes to Anushka's voice.
