Which district tops election expenditure list ?

During elections, West Godavari district tops the election expenditure list every time. This is due to betting and money distribution taking place in a large scale in the district.

Presently, in West Godavari, election preparations are going on for Lok Sabha, Assembly and Municipal elections simultaneously.

Elections will be held in eight municipalities and Eluru municipal corporation on March  30.

There are 28.12 lakh voters in the district and out of them about 1.70 lakh voters are first time voters. As the district tops in election expenditure every time, the state election commissioner and the district collector Siddharth Jain had concentrated much on the district.

Special teams have been formed in every constituency to oversee the code of conduct.
