What Makes Kangana’s Manikarnika Special?

Kangana Ranaut, who always stands up for social causes like gender equality and pay parity, will be next seen in the biopic of Rani Lakshmibai titled Manikarnika. Kangana will be portraying the role of the queen of Jhansi in the movie. The actress has already undergone training in sword fighting, horse riding and martial arts under Hollywood stunt director Nick Powell

Titled ManiKarnika: The Queen of Jhansi, the movie is dubbed to be a high budget women centric film in the Indian film industry. Manikarnika is the second historical film in the year after Deepika Padukone's Padmavaat, which raked in huge collections at the worldwide box-office.

Meanwhile, pictures of Kangana from Manikarnika have raised expectations on the movie. The first look of the actress, which was released in November, unveiled her regal avatar in white and gold look. Telugu director Krish, who garnered fame with movies like Gamyam and Vedam is making the film. Zee studios is one of the producers of the movie. The movie is slated for release in August.

As the movie has completed its first schedule, Kangana has taken a break from the shoot and currently holidaying in Himchal Pradesh with her family. The actress was last seen in the crime thriller simran.
