Good Morning, CM KCR

Good Morning, CM KCR - Sakshi Post

The new team relegated the old guard far into the pages of history, and heady concoction of dreams, hopes and aspirations vanquished the ghosts of a bitter history on June 2. Telangana on Monday, after a long battle, heralded in a new era with the swearing in of its first cabinet.

Kalavakuntla Chandrasekhar Rao, or as he is better know as, KCR, the man who was at the forefront of Telanagna agitation since he formed TRS in 2001, was  sworn in as first Chief Minister of the 29th state.  (Team KCR)

An overwhelmed KCR took the oath in the name of God, amidst rapturous applause from the crowd. Incidentally, KCR is one CM to be administered oath the same day the state came into existence.  At exactly 8.30 am, KCR was administered the oath of office and secrecy by Governor ESL Narasimhan at Raj Bhavan.

Clad in white pant and white shirt, complete with his trademark pink stole,  KCR took oath in Telugu even as TRS activists burst crackers in celebrations. (Mothe is waiting for its son KCR to return)

Earlier, his supporters gave him a warm welcome when he reached Raj Bhavan with his family. He waved at the crowds as his supporters danced in gay abandon to the tunes of songs hailing him as a mass leader.

The entire twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderbad were flooded with people coming from every nook and corner of the State to witness the momentous occasion and to celebrate the formation of Telangana at Gun Park and several other places. (The river man and the voice behind Telangana's anthem)

In his political career spanning 14 years, KCR has seen many political changes. In 2001 he quit TDP to start TRS, and since then there has been no stopping this lanky leader. In the recently concluded elections,  TRS  won 69 Assembly seats in the 119 member assembly.  He also won 12 Lok Sabha seats out total 17 in Telangana. KCR won from Medak by a margin of 3.97 lakh votes, the highest for any candidate in undivided AP.

Busy Day for new CM:

It was a hectic day for KCR after the swearing in.  He paid  tributes at the martyrs’ memorial at Gun Park before proceeding to Raj Bhavan for the swearing-in ceremony.

After swearing-in ceremony, he will leave to Parade grounds to attend Telangana State Formation Day fete, his maiden programme as Chief Minister.

From parade grounds, his convoy entered Secretariat and he formally occupied  the Chief Minister’s chamber in C Block.
