Weightage To Rural Doctors In Super Specialty Admissions Stayed

Petition was filed by Kaloji Narayana Rao University of Health Sciences - Sakshi Post

Hyderabad: A single judge judgment which favored weightage for doctors serving in remote and tribal areas for admissions into super-specialty courses was stayed by a division bench of the Hyderabad High Court on Tuesday.

It may be recalled that the single judge ruled to give weightage to in-service doctors on Monday

The division bench comprising of acting Chief Justice Ramesh Ranganathan and Justice U Durga Prasad Rao was dealing with a petition filed by Kaloji Narayana Rao University of Health Sciences, Warangal which contended that as per the rules such weightage is not permissible.

It may be recalled that the single judge ruled to give weightage to in-service doctors on Monday.
