We Will Put TDP In Its Place: BJP

Rajahmundry: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLC Somu Veerraju said here today that their party was contemplating filing a complaint against TDP MLA from Hindupur and actor Balakrishna. He said they will also make Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu a party to it and recalled that Chandrababu was looking on and smiling all through the speech of Balakrishna.

Veeraraju said that Chandrababu was able to foresee his future after 2019 elections and that was the reason he was behaving in an odd manner. He questioned how the TDP chief could spend Rs 30 crores of state money for his one-day hunger strike. "We will expose Chandrababu's deeds to the people of the state. Within a year's time we will put TDP in its place," he asserted.

The BJP MLC said that such acts of fasting would only defame the party and hatred in the public over the party would double. He said if AP CM's protest was genuine, the government should withdraw all the cases against the people who were involved in the fight for Special Category Status (SCS) to AP. He questioned the double standards of Chandrababu and said how could Chandrababu who threatened to arrest the people who protested for SCS take up the one day fast.

Veerraju said that the BJP would take the responsibility of putting AP back on the track of development. He called upon the TDP chief and the party not to dream of doing business in the name of governance in AP for the next five years. He accused Chandrababu of using his yellow media to silence any voice of dissent in the state. He alleged that after four years, Jana Sena leader Pawan Kalyan has also come out from TDP alliance. "The result was that Pawan Kalyan had to listen to abuses and his mother also got abused," he added.
