We want a united state: Sailajanath

School Education Minister Sailajanath on Tuesday said "Our main agenda is to keep the state united."

Speaking to media persons at the Media Point in the Assembly, he said that they (Seemandhra Congress leaders) have been making efforts on the same for many years.

Sailajanath, while talking about some Telangana Congress leaders receiving signals on the state's bifurcation, made it clear that he had not received any signals of that kind. The Union Home Ministry was only making efforts to find a solution to the contentious issue at the earliest, he added.

He also said that the Union Home Ministry had studied Justice Srikrishna Committee’s recommendations.

Stating that everyone has a right to express their views in a democratic way, the minister said that Seemandhra Congress leaders would meet at the Club House in the Ministers’ Quarters on January 17 to chalk out their strategy.
