In a tweet soon after his MPs submitted their resignations, the YSRCP Chief took to Twitter to share the news. He also dared Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu to get his Telugu Desam Party MPs to resign and join hands with the people of AP to demand Special Category Status to the state.
Here's what YS Jagan posted on his Twitter handle.
We do as we say! YSRCP MPs are submitting their resignations today. I challenge @ncbn to make TDP MPs resign and stand united with the people of AP in their rightful demand of special category status for Andhra Pradesh.

It's worth mentioning here that it was YSR congress party president YS Jagan Mohan who vetoed the AP Chief Minister's proposal to settle for a special package to the state saying it would be gross injustice to the people of the AP if we compromised on the interests of the state for selfish political motives.
All along his relentless struggle for AP, YS Jagan has also maintained that the interest of the state is paramount and above any political interests.
YSRCP MPs will go on an indefinite hunger strike at AP Bhawan, Delhi while we will observe relay hunger strikes across the state. We continue to stand in solidarity with the people of AP in their fight for Special Category Status!

The YSRCP MPs will now go on a hunger strike to protest against the NDA-led BJP government's decision to not honour the promises made to the state at the time of bifurcation.
