Watchman, Wife Rewarded For Driving Off Thief

Hyderabad: A watchman and his wife were given cash reward and a certificate of appreciation by Cyberabad commissioner Sandeep Shandilya on Wednesday for fending off a robber despite suffering injuries in an attack. The incident took place at Snehita Hills in Rajendranagar on Sunday.
Along with the watchman and his wife, four police personnel of the Narsingi police station were also rewarded for arriving at the scene within nine minutes after the complaint
Watchman Gopal (36) notice that the robber broke into his employer’s house. As Gopal tried to seize knife from the assailant he sustained injuries. Meanwhile, Gopal’s wife Aruna attacked the assailant and raised an alarm. As the neighbors gathered the offender fled from the place.
