Was Mirza's presence during both blasts a mere coincidence? - Sakshi Post

Abdul Wasey Mirza's name is on every policeman's mind. Wondering why? Well, he has an interesting background. Mirza has survived not just the latest blast, but also the one that happened at Mecca Masjid in 2007.

He's a victim of both the bombings. Mirza lost one of his legs in Mecca Masjid blast. And this time around too, he was at the place of disaster and sustained minor injuries. Mirza is being treated at the Yashoda hospital.

Police, who's suspicious about his strange presence during both the blasts, questioned him as to why he came to Dilsukhnagar on Thursday evening? Mirza's answers reportedly weren't convincing enough.

Mirza is believed to given contradictory answers during the police interrogation. His reasons are...

    1. He came to Dilsukhnagar to have tea
    2. He was in the area to sell slippers
    3. He was in that part of the town to meet his relatives

His father's answer has fueled more speculation. According to Mirza's father, his son went to Dilsukhnagar to meet a friend. All these conflicting reasons for his presence during both the blasts has prompted police to treat him as a suspect. The police has started enquiry into his history and whereabouts.

Preliminary investigation reveal that Abdul Wasey Mirza is a resident of  Kalapatthar area in Old City. The NIA have raised suspicions about his role in both the blasts. However, both Cyberabad and Hyderabad police have ridiculed the rumors saying the story was mere speculation by the media.

The police said that they questioned him, along with a few others and recorded their statements to get some clues in the case. When reporters asked Hyderabad Police Commissioner Anurag Sharma, if Abdul was being treated as a terror suspect, he was quick to reply in the negative.

The commissioner further said that they had only recorded his statement as a witness.

The police on Saturday also surfed through the video footage captured by the CC cameras at the Dilsukhnagar bus stand. It remains to be seen if police can achieve any breakthroughs after that.
