Warm welcome, loud applause greets Sharmila's return
On the first day of resuming her walkathon titled 'Maro Praja Prasthanam', YSR Congress Party president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy's sister Sharmila conducted the 'Rachabanda' programme at Turkayamjal in Rangareddy district where she interacted with people from various sections of the society.
When Sharmila reached YSR Gardens in the morning, she received a warm welcome from the party activists, farmers and women. Sharmila was accompanied by her mother and party's honorary president, YS Vijayamma and sister-in-law and Jagan's wife YS Bharathi.
Sharmila recalled that her father late YSR had increased the old-age pension from Rs. 75 (during TDP regime) to Rs. 200.
She also said that the credit goes to YSR who wanted the pension for the physically handicapped and widows also implemented.
Looks like Sharmila was back with a bang as she set off in her style waving at her supporters, which is a signature style of her father. And as expected she drew huge crowds wherever she went which created a fear among other parties in the state.
As a part of her schedule today, Sharmila will pass via Raganna guda, Manne guda, Bongaluru gate, Mangalampalli gate, Sherguda to reach Ibhrahimpattanma. She is expected to cover a distance of 15 kilometers today.
She is likely to take rest at Sheswa function hall at night.
