Warangal tense following group clashes

Tension prevailed on Thursday when two groups from the TRS clashed with each other at Govindaraopeta in Warangal District.

Devilala and Chanadulal from two groups, held two different competing rallies in the presence of District president Ravindra Rao. The two groups organised 'Savayatras' effigies of whom were burnt.  Following a heated argument between the heads of two groups , the two political groups attacked each other by hurling stones.

The police swung into action and registered cases against both the groups. The situation seems to be out of control. A police picket was set up in the village to thwart further clashes between the two groups.

It may be mentioned here that Ravindara Rao had been appointed as district president recently. Soon after he took charge, this incident happened.
