Warangal polls: 40% polling noted so far

Warangal: By-poll in Warangal for the election of Lok Sabha MP kicked off early on Saturday. The polling has been peaceful and about 40% of the voters have come out to vote so far.

Voters are turning up in huge numbers to elect their representative, the voting will go on till 5:00pm and the results will be out on November 24

The first voter at the Arts and Science College was felicitated, District Collector Karuna, Police Commissioner Sudhir Babu welcomed the first voter with flowers. The same was followed in most of the polling booths, the officials welcomed their first voters by showering flowers.

The polling is being held in 1778 booths across the constituency and around 10 –thousand police personnel were assigned the polling duty to ensure peace in the booths. More than 15 lakh people are expected to register their votes.
