The counting for the Warangal Lok Sabha by-election held on November 21 began at Enumamula market in the city at 8am on Tuesday.The counting will be completed in 22 rounds and the final result will be out before noon. As part of security, Section 144 was imposed at the counting center. Four votes polled through the postal ballot which was counted in the first round came in favor of Congress.
The seat was held by the TRS's Kadiyam Srihari who resigned his MP position to become the deputy chief minister of Telangana. Pasunuri Dayakar is contesting the from the party now. Congress party put up Malkajgiri ex-MP Sarve Satyanarayana, BJP Devaiah and Communists Gali Vinod Kumar. Nalla Suryaprakash from YSR Congress Party is in the fray.
