Warangal farmer climbs a mobile-tower, threatens to jump

Hyderabad: A farmer from Warangal district had climbed a cell-phone tower opposite to the State-Legislative Assembly today. The man threatened to jump off the tower as her did know how to repay the loan of Rs. 2 Lakh that he had taken from a private lender.

The local police reached the spot immediately to get things under control. However the farmer was adamant that he would only get down if the government would promise to help him repay his loan.

The high-tension drama carried on for almost an hour and he was brought down by the police only when he fell unconscious after drinking the poison he was carrying. The man was immediately rushed to the nearest hospital.
