Hyderabad: A scuffle over sharing a tip of Rs130 between two hotel workers led to one of them being killed on Monday. Raju and Kamlesh work at Spicy Bawarchi Hotel in the Old City. The 25-year-old Raju died after being pushed by Kamlesh, who fell on the ground and sustained a head injury.

Kamlesh said he has to go to his native place and refused to let Raju into the restaurant until he gave the amount. This led to the fight and furious Kamlesh pushed Raju

Kanchanbagh inspector N. Shankar said Raju died on the spot and his body was shifted at Osmania General Hospital for autopsy. Police said that Raju, Kamlesh and other workers share tips given by customers. And Kamlesh demanded his amount from Raju but he said he will give his share the next day.

"When Raju turned up for work on Monday afternoon, Kamlesh stopped him outside the restaurant and demanded Rs130. Kamlesh said he has to go to his native place and refused to let Raju into the restaurant until he gave the amount. This led to the fight and furious Kamlesh pushed Raju," said Shankar.

A case was registered against Kamlesh under section 304 (ii) (culpable homicide not amounting to murder) of the IPC. Police have detained Kamlesh and are questioning him.
