VVIP Ram Charan 'runs' the show in Vizag

It is not uncommon for an actor to be greeted wherever he goes. The public adulation for a cinema artiste is such that he gets a warm welcome. And if the actress happens to be a successful hero, then he's a crowd puller for sure. But what if the actor also happens to be a Union minister's son?

Yes, you guessed it right, we are talking about Union minister for tourism Chiranjeevi's son actor Ram Charan. News is that Cherry became the centre of attraction even in a chief minister's meet.

We already reported that Ram Charan and Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy kick-started the 5K run in Visakhapatnam. But what has caught everybody's attention is that Charan is the chief guest for the event which saw several senior politicians in attendance.

What surprised many was the way Kiran Reddy and other ministers greeted Charan. Eye witnesses say soon as Charan walked in, those present on the dais got up (Kiran Reddy, Purandareswari, TSR, Lagadapati) from their chairs to greet him. Howzzat!

This has drawn flak from several quarters, especially the sports fraternity who are wondering what was the protocol followed to have Charan share space with politicians on the dais.
