Volvo bus hits oil tanker, one dead

A speeding volvo bus rammed into a stationary oil tanker in an wee-hour mishap near Annavarappadu in Rompicharla mandal of Guntur.

One person died on the spot, while two persons - identified as Ch Ramanaiah of Kondepi in Prakasam district and Bala Brahmachary from Tangutur - were critically injured.
Sixteen more people suffered minor injuries. They were rushed to Narsaraopet Government Hospital. The bus, which originated at Hyderabad, was bound for Ongole.
