Vizag ASP’s Father Killed; Son, Daughter Injured As Mini Bus Goes Berserk In Beach 

Vizag: The father of Vishakapatnam Additional SP Kishore was killed when a private bus went berserk at Gateway hotel in the beach here in the early hours on Monday. Kishore's son and daughter, who accompanied their grandfather Dharmarao, among 20 others received serious injuries and were undergoing treatment.

According to Transport Department Commissioner Balasubramanyam who conducted an inquiry immediately after the accident, the movement of the vehicle could not be controlled by the driver as its brakes were not working as the engine was in off mode and the spot was steeply slope. He confirmed that the driver was not drunk and the vehicle is in roadworthy condition.

Dharmarao and the children were on a bike and they came under the bus as there was no sound or alert. Dharmarao died on the spot and their bike was mowed down. About 20 people including two of the deceased's grandchildren were injured.
