Vivek refuses to meet CM

Congress MP and senior party leader G Vivek today refused to meet Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy.  

Accompanied by senior party leaders, the Chief Minister paid glowing tributes to the Mahatma at the Gandhi Bhavan, the state party headquarters on the occasion of the Gandhi Jayanthi. When other senior party leaders, including PCC chief Botsa Satyanarayana, met the Chief Minister, after the official programme, Vivek, however, avoided an encounter with Kiran. When some PCC leaders asked whether he was willing to have a meeting with the Chief Minister, Vivek shot back saying “why should I meet him. I have nothing to do with the Chief Minister,” he said and left the venue.

Later, when the senior Congress leaders wanted to know from the Chief Minister whether any steps are being taken to fill nominated posts in the State, Kiran said efforts are already on. Some vacancies had already been filled, he added

Kiran Kumar Reddy had a 20-minute meeting with senior party leaders, including PCC chief Botsa Satyanarayana after paying tributes to the Father of the Nation on the occasion of the Gandhi Jayanthi.
